HOW TO UPLOAD VIDEOS

In order to upload videos you must first create an account and log in.

Once logged in, assuming you have already recorded a song, go to the video upload page which can be found under ‘videos > upload’ or ‘my webpops > your videos > upload’

Choose an upload method from the dropdown. You have two options here:

  1. ‘Upload a video from my computer’ speaks for itself and allows the upload of videos up to 150 Mb in the following file formats: mpg, mpeg, avi, divx, mp4, flv, wmv, rm, mov, moov, asf, swf, vob, 3gp or mkv.
  2. ‘Add a video from an external website’. This option will allow you to paste the URL (address) uploaded to another website such as YouTube. Supported websites are youtube.com and google.com.

If your video is larger than the 150 Mb upload limit, you should consider using this option. YouTube has an upload limit of 2 Gb.

Once you have selected your upload option, complete the information required in the form and either browse your computer for the video file or copy and paste the video clip location URL where required depending upon the selection made from the previous step.

Depending upon the size of your video, it could take some time to upload. The progress bar will tell you how far along the upload is.

Once you have completed the upload of all videos you can go ahead and enter one or more into one of our monthly competitions. The cost to do this is only £1 per video. See ‘ENTERING A COMPETITION’ for more details.

ENTERING A COMPETITON

To enter a competition you must first have an account to which you have uploaded one or more videos.

Once your video has been uploaded you can go along to the competition page. Click the ‘Enter Now’ button after which you will be presented with thumbnails representing the videos you’ve uploaded. If a video you have uploaded is not shown here, it could be that the upload has been queued for file conversion on the server to a type suitable for Webpops. Please be patient.

Click the ‘Enter Now’ button below the video you would like to enter. This will take you to the PayPal login screen to pay the £1 entry fee.

Once payment is complete, your video will be entered into the next competition. Good luck.
